Tour Overview

Discover the best of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit on a six-day group-joining adventure designed for travellers who want exceptional wildlife experiences at a more accessible price. Explore vast savannahs, encounter Africa’s iconic animals and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, all while sharing the adventure with a small group of fellow travellers.

This safari combines Tarangire’s elephant-filled landscapes, the wildlife-rich plains of the Serengeti and the remarkable natural sanctuary of Ngorongoro Crater. With a professional local driver-guide, comfortable safari accommodation and carefully planned game drives, you can experience Tanzania’s extraordinary wilderness without paying for a private vehicle.

Scheduled for selected low-season dates, this safari offers a rewarding way to explore Tanzania when visitor numbers are generally lower, and the landscapes can be especially green and beautiful.

Your 6-day journey through Tanzania, crafted for unforgettable moments at every stop.

Day 1

JRO / Arusha - Arrival in Arusha

Half Board Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, where a transfer can be arranged to your accommodation in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and prepare for your upcoming adventure. Meet your safari team for a briefing covering the itinerary, wildlife viewing, and practical travel arrangements before your journey into Tanzania’s wilderness.
Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast, lunch and dinner Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge
Elephants, Baobabs and African Savannah After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive through open grasslands and along the Tarangire River, where animals gather to drink, especially during drier periods. Look out for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions, with excellent opportunities for birdwatching along the way.
Day 3

Tarangire / Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast, lunch and dinner Tanzania Bush Camps
Journey into the Endless Plains Travel towards the legendary Serengeti, passing through changing landscapes and the scenic Ngorongoro highlands. Enter the Serengeti and enjoy game viewing as you make your way across its vast plains, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and other wildlife. The route and game-drive opportunities will depend on road conditions, wildlife activity and the location of your accommodation.
Day 4

Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive

Breakfast, lunch and dinner Tanzania Bush Camps
A Day in Africa’s Great Wildlife Kingdom Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s remarkable ecosystems, with extended game drives across wildlife-rich plains and around rocky outcrops known as kopjes.
