In their own words
Explore Jambo Maasai Tours gave us the safari of a lifetime. Our guide, born and raised Maasai, showed us things about animal behaviour that no guidebook could teach. Watching a cheetah hunt at sunrise in the Serengeti, then descending into Ngorongoro Crater the next day — it was beyond anything we imagined. The attention to detail, from the perfectly timed sundowners to the surprise bush breakfast, made every moment special.
What is a group departure?
A scheduled date for one of our tours that anyone can join, seat by seat. You share the vehicle and the guide with the other travellers on that date, and the day-by-day plan is the one on the tour page.
Can I join on my own?
Yes, solo travellers are welcome. Where a date lists a single supplement, that's the extra charge for a room or tent to yourself.
What does 'Guaranteed departure' mean?
A guaranteed date runs whatever the final group size. Other dates are open for booking, and we'll tell you as soon as they're confirmed to run.
Do I pay anything to reserve a seat?
No. Reserving sends us your request and no payment is taken on this website. We confirm the seat with you first and explain payment at that point.
None of these dates suit me. What now?
Any tour on this page can also run as a private trip on dates you choose. Send us your dates and we'll quote it.
What is included in the price of a Tanzania group safari?
Group safari packages typically include a professional safari guide, shared 4x4 safari vehicle, park and conservation fees, accommodation, meals as specified and scheduled game drives. Check your itinerary for the exact inclusions and exclusions.
