Who we are

Born on the Edge of the Serengeti

Jambo Maasai Tours is a licensed Tanzanian safari operator, founded by Maasai-born guides who grew up on the edge of the Serengeti.

We are based in Arusha, the safari capital of East Africa, and we specialize in tailor-made wildlife safaris, Kilimanjaro treks, and Zanzibar beach holidays.

We believe the best safaris are personal. No two travelers are the same, so no two itineraries should be either. Every trip we design is built from scratch around your dates, interests, pace, and budget — then adjusted in real time as the wildlife moves.

Our values

Why Travelers Choose Us

Every decision we make is guided by these principles — from the routes we plan to the communities we support.

Authenticity

We are Maasai. This land is our home. Our guides don't read from scripts — they share living knowledge passed down through generations.

Personal Service

Small groups, flexible itineraries, one-on-one communication. You're never a booking number — you're a guest we've invited into our world.

Responsible Tourism

A portion of every booking supports education and conservation projects in our home villages. Tourism should uplift, not extract.

Our team

Expert Guides, Passionate Storytellers

Our guides have a combined 100+ years of experience in the Tanzanian bush. They're trained naturalists, certified wilderness first responders, and — most importantly — passionate storytellers who make every game drive feel like a private documentary.

From the vast plains of the Serengeti to the crater floor of Ngorongoro, our team knows every watering hole, every migration route, and every hidden camp that makes a safari unforgettable.

Giving back

Community Impact

Tourism is one of Tanzania's largest employers. We're committed to making sure the benefits reach the communities who need them most.

A portion of every safari booking goes directly to education and conservation projects in our home villages — from school supplies and teacher salaries to anti-poaching patrols and reforestation efforts.
