Day 1

Arrival in Tanzania (JRO / Arusha Airport)

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where an airport transfer can be arranged. If you arrive before your safari begins, pre-safari accommodation in Arusha can also be organized, subject to your package arrangements. Meet your Explore Jambo Maasai representative, receive a briefing about your upcoming adventure, and relax before the safari begins.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, meet your professional driver-guide and travel to Tarangire National Park for a day of wildlife viewing. Known for its ancient baobab trees, impressive elephant herds, and the Tarangire River, the park offers a distinctive introduction to Tanzania's wilderness. Explore its savannahs and woodlands in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions. Bird enthusiasts can also look out for the park's diverse birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your safari before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, leave the park and travel to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast grasslands dotted with rocky kopjes and scattered acacia trees. Begin exploring this renowned wildlife destination, home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest. Your guide will select suitable game-drive areas based on the time available, recent wildlife sightings, and seasonal animal movements. Depending on the route and conditions, you may enjoy wildlife viewing along the way before reaching your camp in the Serengeti.

Day 4

Full-Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner Central Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring Central Serengeti, one of Tanzania's most rewarding safari regions. Its open plains, rocky kopjes, river systems, and surrounding woodlands support a rich variety of wildlife throughout the year. Set out on morning and afternoon game drives to search for lions resting on rocky outcrops, leopards sheltering in trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, and herds of zebra, wildebeest, and gazelle. Elephants, hyenas, and numerous bird species may also be encountered. If the Great Migration passes through the region during your visit, your guide will help you explore suitable areas in search of the herds. Wildlife sightings depend on seasonal movements and prevailing conditions. After a full day in the wilderness, return to your accommodation to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return to Arusha

Begin early and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the crater floor, a remarkable natural habitat supporting a high concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, look for lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, spotted hyenas, and, with luck, the endangered African black rhino. The crater's varied habitats, including grasslands, wetlands, and woodland areas, create excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and observation. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the excursion before ascending from the crater and beginning your return journey. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on road and wildlife conditions anf flight time
