Day-by-Day Itinerary

Your 9-day journey through Tanzania, crafted for unforgettable moments at every stop.

Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport

Dinner & BreakFast SG Premium Resort
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you are met by your private safari guide and transferred to Arusha for rest and recovery after your international flight. This is a slow, grounding start to the journey. No safari driving today, just comfort, briefing, and preparation for the adventure ahead.
Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire

Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner Lake Manyara Serena
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hours). This is a strong opening park: elephants dominate here, and the landscape is raw, iconic Africa with baobab forests and seasonal rivers. Afternoon game drive introduces your first wildlife encounters: elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and abundant birdlife.
Day 2

Up to the Ngorongoro Highlands

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Ngorongoro Serena
Leave the Rift Valley behind and climb into the cool highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road rises through forest and farmland to the crater rim, where the world's largest intact volcanic caldera opens out below you. Arrive in time to settle in and enjoy the view at your own pace. Scenic drive up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. First views over the crater from the rim. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge.
Day 3

A Full Day in the Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Ngorongoro Serena
Descend early onto the crater floor, a natural enclosure of grassland, lakes and forest that holds one of the densest wildlife populations in Africa. Lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra live here year-round, and black rhinos are sometimes seen. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before climbing back to the lodge. Full-day game drive on the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Excellent chances to see lion, elephant, buffalo and hippo. Black rhino possible, with some luck and patience. Picnic lunch beside the crater's hippo pools.
Day 4

Into the Ndutu Plains

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Serengeti Classic View – Migration Camp (Ndutu)
Descend from the highlands to Ndutu, where acacia woodland meets the short-grass plains on the southern edge of the Serengeti. This is the heart of the Ndutu season: from around December to March the wildebeest and zebra herds gather here to calve, drawing lion, cheetah, hyena and leopard in close behind. Game viewing continues through the afternoon. Drive to Ndutu, with game viewing along the way. Seasonal herds and calving activity, depending on rains and herd movement. Strong chances for predators following the herds.
Day 5

Southern Serengeti Plains

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Serengeti Classic View (Southern Serengeti)
Spend a full day exploring the southern Serengeti, a wide-open country of grass plains, rocky kopjes and seasonal lakes. With your guide, follow the herds and the predators that hunt them. Early starts and long, unhurried afternoons give you the best light and the best sightings. Full-day game drives across the southern plains. Kopjes, seasonal lakes and open grassland. Cheetah, lion and large herds are all possible.
Day 6

A Second Day with the Herds - (Southern Serengeti)

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Serengeti Classic View (Southern Serengeti)
A second full day in the south allows you to return to the best areas, stay longer at productive sightings and shape the day around what the herds are doing. Your guide will decide where to go each morning based on the latest movements. Full day of flexible game viewing in the southern Serengeti. Time to stay with a sighting rather than move on. Sundowner opportunity as the light turns golden.
Day 7

North to the Central Serengeti

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Serengeti Serena Lodge
Today you move north into the Central Serengeti, around Seronera, the park's most reliable and rewarding area for big cats. Game viewing continues along the way, and you arrive at your lodge in time for an afternoon game drive among rocky outcrops, river valleys and open plains. Game drive en route from the south to the Central Serengeti. Afternoon game drive in the Seronera area. Known for lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Day 8

Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Serengeti Serena Lodge
Full Day in the Central Serengeti A full day in the Central Serengeti to look for leopard resting in the trees, lion prides on the kopjes and cheetah scanning the plains. For those who choose the balloon option, the day begins before dawn with a hot air balloon flight over the plains, followed by a champagne bush breakfast, then a game drive to continue the morning. Full-day game drives in the Central Serengeti. Optional dawn hot air balloon safari with bush breakfast (included in the USD 6,410 price). Time to revisit the best sightings from the past days.
Day 9

Final Game Drive and Fly Out

Breakfast Departure
Enjoy a last morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, with one more chance for a memorable sighting. After the drive you are transferred to the airstrip for your flight out of the Serengeti. Morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Transfer to the airstrip and fly out to JRO/Arusha Aiport
