Day 1

Arrival in Tanzania

Dinner and Breakfast Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Explore Jambo Maasai representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to relax and recover from your journey while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of your Hotel

Day 2

Arusha National Park

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Arusha

We depart with picnic lunches for a game drive in Arusha National Park. Home to colobus monkeys, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, and waterbuck, it sits in the foothills of Mt Meru- a dormant volcano. The scenery is dotted with the Momella lakes and is home to lush forests.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Tarangire Area

This morning, travel to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The Tarangire River serves as a permanent water source, attracting abundant wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring the park's diverse landscapes while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species.

Day 4

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, continue to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but remarkably diverse park situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore the groundwater forest, open floodplains, and lakeshore habitats while searching for elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the park's famous tree-climbing lions.

Day 5

Lake Eyasi - Hadzabe Tribe

We join the Hadzabe tribe to get a taste of what life is like for one of the last nomadic hunting tribes left in Tanzania- an authentic and unforgettable cultural experience. We also spend time with the Datoga tribe, who are famous for their metalworking skills

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Karatu / Ngorongoro Area

An early start takes you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will descend 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Home to one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife, the crater provides outstanding opportunities to observe lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before continuing your wildlife viewing.

Day 7

Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Central Serengeti

After breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands and into the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is a game-viewing experience, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy your first game drive in one of the world's most celebrated safari destinations.

Day 8

Full-Day Serengeti Safari

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Central Serengeti

Spend the entire day exploring the magnificent Serengeti ecosystem. Depending on the season, you may encounter the Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of animals move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Throughout the day, search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and countless other species that call the Serengeti home.
